In Chinese folklore, the moon is said to be home to many mystical beings — the graceful Chang’e (嫦娥), the gentle Jade Rabbit(玉兔), and perhaps the most surprising of them all, the woodcutter Wu Gang (吳剛) and his doomed task.

Wu Gang’s story is unlike the rest: Being taught a lesson for his lack of determination, he was punished to fell a self-healing osmanthus tree on the moon for eternity. Such drama, and yes, we love ’em!

This Mid-Autumn Festival, Kwai Chai Hong invites you to journey into Moonlit Bloom (花月), a dazzling art installation celebrating the delicate and fragrant Osmanthus Tree standing strong against Wu Gang’s futile attempts. Curated by Javier Chor, one of the co-founders of Kwai Chai Hong, this installation is a collaboration with award-winning creative digital storytelling studio Seeing Artelier, founder Wong Si Ying, and Lead Motion Designer Chia Yuan Hong, as they take you on an electrifying journey through the fusion of art and technology, immersing you in the age-old legend.

That's not all. Get your cameras ready as we bring you an exclusive high-energy performance by the highly acclaimed DRUM UP JB, transforming Wu Gang’s rhythmic tree-chopping actions into a thunderous, heart-pounding percussion spectacle.
